UX Writing Improvements for myTHPRD
Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District - Personal Project
The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is the largest independent parks district in Oregon, serving 250,000 residents in the greater Beaverton, OR area. THPRD facilities include 95 park sites, 70 miles of trail, eight swim centers, and six recreation centers. With thousands of class offerings, it’s critical that THPRD has efficient and effective ways for residents to register for classes and access the facilities.
THPRD’s website has an overall inviting and accessible homepage, with an option to visit a Spanish version of the site. However, once residents attempt to log in to their account, things take a turn. The login portal (Fig. 1) has an overwhelming amount of information, with no option to access in Spanish.
