Website Copy

The Public Archaeology Laboratory, Inc.—a cultural resource management firm—was looking to completely overhaul their website for the first time since it was launched in the early 2000s. To better understand what they wanted for their new site, I sent questionnaires to senior staff about their vision for the company, as well as some questions outlining their audience. I then worked with the UX designer to propose a new site map, considering flow of information and new company priorities.

I wrote and edited over 30 pages, utilizing a consistent tone and page layout that would better engage their audience. Once it was close to launch, I proofread the copy and helped the UX designer check every link (there were a lot). We were all very proud of the first phase of the website launch, an effort that took months of collaborative work!
